Washington
The University of Washington Huskies has had a button program since the 1970s, made by both a local KFC, the alumni association, and the bookstore. However, it is inconsistent which games had buttons. There are no known buttons for the 1983 Aloha Bowl between Penn State and Washington, although there is a 1982 Aloha Bowl button. Washington made the button pictured below “Purple Reign” for the 2017 Fiesta Bowl, that slogan was Washington’s season motto and not specific for Penn State. Finally, a representative of the Washington bookstore confirmed that in 2024, they only made a button to welcome the Huskies to the Big Ten, but did not do game specific buttons for the Whiteout at Penn State.
